ATHLETICS

Viking Football

The Varsity suffered its' first loss of the season Friday night at the hands of a solid 4-0 East Mills team. The players and coaches have learned more about their strengths and weaknesses and will be working together to regroup and bounce back. They will test their defensive passing skills by hosting a high-powered passing attack in tonight's homecoming contest against Essex. Kickoff is at 7:00 PM.

JV Football

The JV team got off to a great start Monday against the Essex Trojans and led at halftime 22-16. The second half was much different as the Vikings fumbled on the first play of their next three possessions and gave Essex short field position and even one safety. The Vikings put things back together in the 4th quarter by putting together one long sustained drive for a TD. They'll be taking that momentum into next Monday's game against Fremont-Mills at Tabor. Kickoff in Tabor is 6:00 PM.

Junior High Football

Junior high football plays at Fremont-Mills next Monday at 4 PM. The boys are undefeated so far this season with completing two large victories over Nishnabotna and Essex. This next week will be a real test for them. We look forward to practice this week and the challenge that awaits ahead next Monday.
