The National Honor Society Welcomes New Members!

Congratulations to the National Honor Society Inductees!
Today the NHS Inducted 7 new members from the Junior and Senior classes. Mrs. Susan Peterson, Stanton’s former First Grade teacher was the guest speaker for the kids today. Mrs. Peterson had most of these students in her class.

The National Honor Society follows 4 Pillars: Character, Leadership, Scholarship and Service. One comment Mrs. Peterson made today was this, “Character is not measured one occurrence at a time, but along the journey of one’s life.” Former Head UCLA Basketball Coach John Wooden once said, “Be concerned with your character more than your reputation because your character is what you really are, while your reputation is merely what others think you are. The true test of a person’s character is what he or she does when no one is watching.”
Congratulations to this year’s Inductee’s: Luke B., Hannah E., Easton H., Devin I., Nicholas M., Nina P. and Kami T.
