Jump Rope for Heart!

Mr. Lord's Elementary PE classes were challenged to raise money for Jump Rope For Heart, they accepted, met and exceeded this challenge. The money raised was to support the American Heart Association.
There were many different prizes the kids could earn from the AHA as well as the school specific incentives they could aim for(pie in the face, extra P.E., etc). During the event Mr. Lord also had a jump rope day on our final day of the event where the kids did different jump rope activities in P.E. and learned ways to keep their hearts healthy! Isabelle M. from 1st grade raised the most support and for that earned the Jump Rope for Heart gold medal. The kindergarten class raised the most as a class with $1,228.50 which earned them an extra P.E. for the week.
There were also 27 students who raised 50 dollars or more and were able to throw a pie in Mr. Lord's face as a reward. As a school we set a goal of 2600 dollars (our schools precious best) and they crushed that goal with a total of $3,328.45 raised for the American Heart Association. When you give our students and staff a challenge, you know that they will do their best to meet and exceed the goal!
