Notes from Guidance Office!

Class Schedules:
All class schedule changes need to be in by Monday morning, all signed paperwork for this will need to be returned by Tuesday, August 29th.
College Classes changes need to be done by Friday afternoon, August 25th!
Viking Center Flag Football 2017
The Viking Center flag football program will be entering our 4th year this fall! This year we will have two teams that are broken down based on the participant’s grade level. More than likely we will have a team for boys and girls entering 1st and 2nd grade, as well as a team for 3rd grade and up. Practices will be held each week on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00pm-6:15pm at Danny Anderson Field with the first practice beginning on Thursday August 24th. The season will last through early-mid October, depending on the number of games scheduled. Games will be held on Saturday mornings and possibly a Sunday afternoon, depending on the opponent and where we will play. Details on the game schedule are TBD, but the games will be played here in Stanton at Danny Anderson Field, Red Oak, and Villisca. Kids who are participating in flag football this year will have the opportunity to play at halftime of the varsity home game on Friday September 1st.
The t-shirts that will be used this year will either be the shirts from the past few years OR our new shirt design (please see below). This is the new shirt we are going to use for all of our youth sports moving forward, which will include flag football, basketball, soccer, etc. IF you have a shirt from last year and choose to use that it will be okay for this year. Cost of the program are FREE for Viking Center members and $30 for non-members. Cost of the shirt is $15 for all participants if you choose to get a shirt. We will order shirts on Wednesday August 30th.
The schedule will be coming soon as we approach our first practice. Registration forms can be found at the Viking Center or on our website: www.stantonvikingcenter.com. Please return forms ASAP to the Viking Center OR Stanton Elementary Office (forms can be brought to the first day of practice on the 24th but we encourage you to turn them in prior to). Our first practice will be TODAY, August 24th from 5:00pm-6:15pm at Danny Anderson Field. All checks can be made payable to: Viking Center, PO Box 42, Stanton IA 51573.
