High school Solo/Ensemble Program 5:00 Moved to April 20!

 

SCHOOL LUNCH CHANGE

If you plan on eating lunch with your child at school you MUST pay for your lunch and receive a lunch ticket in one of the offices before going to the lunchroom.

Cost of lunch is $4.00.

Jr High Girls Track:

Congratulations to the junior high girls track team for their outstanding performance at the Viqueen/Viking Relays last night.  The team placed second (122 points) out of the 7 girls teams competing.  Keep up the good work girls!

High School Girls Track

Red Oak:

The girls track team braved a cold and windy night on Thursday as they competed in the Red Oak meet.  The team finished 5th in class A with 59.5 points.  Devin Druivenga finished 1st in the Discus and the Shuttle Hurdle team of Ally Focht, Madison Franzen, Abbi Adams, and Chelsea Weis finished 1st.  Chelsea Weis was 3rd in the Long Jump, and the 4x100 team of Abbi Adams, Ashley Reese, Devin Druivenga, and Shelby Brockshus finished 3rd.  4th place finishers included: Mallorie Wookey in the 3000; Chelsea Weis in the 100 Hurdles; Ally Focht in the 400 Hurdles; and the 4x400 team of Madison Franzen, Jody Vanderholm, Mallorie Wookey, and Ally Focht.  5th place finishers included: Ally Focht in the Long Jump; and the Sprint Medley team of Devin Druivenga, Abbi Adams, Ashley Reese, and Shelby Brockshus.  Madison Franzen finished 6th in the 100 hurdles, and Chelsea Weis finished 6th in the 400 hurdles.

 

The girls track team finished 3rd in Class A at Creston on Monday night. Chelsea Weis won the Long Jump with a jump of 15' 7".  The team of Devin Druivenga, Ashley Reese, Abbi Adams, and Shelby Brockshus won the 4x200 with a time of 2:01.63.  2nd place finishers included: Devin Druivenga in the Discus; the Shuttle Hurdle team of Ally Focht, Madison Franzen, Abbi Adams, and Chelsea Weis; Chelsea Weis in the 100 Hurdles; Ally Focht in the 400 Hurdles; the Sprint Medley team of Devin Druivenga, Abbi Adams, Shelby Brockshus, and Ashley Reese; and the 4x100 relay team of Ashley Reese, Devin Druivenga, Shelby Brockshus, and Abbi Adams.  Nicole Graham finished 3rd in the 3000 and Ally Focht finished 4th in the Long Jump.  6th place finishers included: Shelby Brockshus in the 100; the Distance Med Team of Chelsea Weis, Madison Franzen, Jody Vanderholm, and Mallorie Wookey; and Mallorie Wookey in the 800.  We are seeing some improvements all the way around and are looking to build on those in the next few weeks.  The team  will compete in Shenandoah Thursday night and will travel to Lenox on Monday night.

After Prom:

The Stanton After Prom Committee is working on planning a safe and fun evening for all the prom goers on Saturday, April 30th.  The entertainment provided for the students that evening are funded by donations the committee receives from donors.  If you or your business would like to make a donation to the after prom activities the Stanton After Prom Committee as well as the students would greatly appreciate it.  Please contact Wendy Confer at (712)621-2816 or Dawn Weis at (712)370-8880 if you would like to make a donation or have any questions.
