Junior High Boys Track

The Junior High boys track team competed Friday night at the Southwest Valley Invite. With much larger competition, the boys competed very well as they finished 5th out of 9 teams, 1 point away from 4th place. There were many impressive individual efforts at the meet as well. Jack Roberts was the lone 1st place finisher in both the High Jump, where he set a meet record with a jump of 5'8", and the Long Jump. 2nd place finishers included Jack Roberts in the 200, Logan Roberts in the 400, and Levi Martin in the 1600. Almost every athlete on the team set personal bests in their events and the meet was great preparation for our conference meet this Friday. We look forward to competing at our best to end the season on Friday. We appreciate all of the support this year and would love to see you Friday at FM! Thank you and Go Vikes!

Team FITness

Every Monday, Wednesday, Friday for the rest of the school year, there will be an opportunity to join the team at 6:15 on each of those days for a 45-60 minute workout to include stretching. Both males and females are encouraged to attend if they have fitness goals.  Most male athletes in JH/HS have had their height, weight, and body measurements taken along with physical fitness test that included push-ups, sit-ups, chin-ups, and a 2-mile run for time. All of that information will be used to determine body fat % as well as an individual nutrition and exercise plan to meet their personal goals.

GUIDANCE

8th Grade Parent Meeting
