Athletic Banquet:
The Athletic Banquet will be held on April 21, 2017. It will be held at the Viking Center this year. The meal being served is a pork chop, baked potato, corn, roll, dessert and a drink. The cost of the meal will be $8.00. The meals for the coaches and athletes will be provided to them at no cost. Please sign up in the high school office by April 7th if you plan on attending. Coaches and the athletes still need to sign up in the office so we have a good head count of how much food we need to get. See you there!
Viking Center’s Lil’ Vikes Soccer Program 2017:
The Viking Center would like to introduce “Lil’ Vikes Soccer”, a brand new program for boys and girls in PreK-2nd grades. The Lil’ Vikes Soccer Program will be held on four different Saturday mornings at Danny Anderson Field (Little League Field) from 9:30am-10:30am. Saturdays that the program will take place are: April 8th, April 22nd, April 29th and May 6th (we will not meet April 15th during Easter weekend). Participants will get the opportunity to learn the basic fundamentals of the game such as dribbling, shooting, passing, and goaltending, to name a few. Cost of the program is $10 for Viking Center members and $25 for non-members of the Viking Center.
Registration forms need to be turned in no later than Friday April 7th, and can be returned to the Viking Center or the Stanton Elementary office. Forms can be found at the Viking Center, Stanton Elementary office and on our website: www.stantonvikingcenter.com.
This is a new program for the Viking Center and volunteers are needed!! If you are interested in helping out with this program please contact the Viking Center. Any questions can be directed to the Viking Center at: 712-829-2900 or email: vikingcenter@myfmtc.com. In the event of inclement weather on the days that the program meets, it will be moved to the Viking Center.
Viking Center Lower Level Closed Friday April 7th, 5:00pm – Monday April 10th, 5:00am:
Due to the re-waxing of the floors, we will be closing the entire lower level of the Viking Center from 5:00pm on Friday April 7th and will re-open at 5:00am on Monday April 10th. There will be no usage of the wellness center, gymnasium or Viking Room during this time. The upper level will remain open during this time, which will include the Stanton Public Library and walking track. We apologize for the inconvenience.
