State Speech:

The Stanton Large Group Speech Team competed at State Large Group Contest at West Des Moines Valley High School in Des Moines, Iowa this past Saturday. It was a very successful day for the students. All students for Stanton received a two rating. Stanton competed with the following groups: Radio Broadcasting (Libby Ernst, Jody Vanderholm, Savanna Moffett, Chloe Smith, Abby Volquartsen, Camden Sundberg, Noah Kammerer), Group Improv (Camden Sundberg, Noah Kammerer, Abby Volquartsen), and Group Improv (Megan Shafer, Alexis Stoakes, Chloe Smith). Musical Theater was unfortunately dropped due to illness (Megan Shafer, Alexis Stoakes). The students should be proud of their efforts and commitment to preparing for district and state speech contests. We want to thank the outstanding support from the school, staff, parents, and community! It has been an exciting speech season!
