SCHOOL ACTIVITIES.
Backstage Pass–Junior/Senior Prom
The Junior Class has been busy planning the big night of prom for the past several months. This year’s theme is Backstage Pass. Prom will be held on Saturday evening, April 30th. Everyone is invited to watch walk-in which will commence at 6:30 PM. *Please note that this is a time change from previous years!* Walk-in will be held in the upper parking area near the high school building entrance. There will be bleachers to accommodate the on-lookers but please feel welcome to bring a lawn chair to watch as the Juniors and Seniors and their dates make their entrance into the school. Julie Strickland of Strickland Photography will take pictures beginning at 4:30 PM that afternoon. Students will sign up in the office for a time. We ask that no parents, siblings or friends are in the picture area when the couples are being photographed. No other picture taking is permitted at that time. The meal will be served at approximately 7:00 PM with the dance to begin at 8:30 PM. We ask that only prom-goers and invited guests are in the concourse/gym area after the walk-in. If you want to take pictures of your child/date, please do so prior to this time. After-prom activities will conclude the evening. The Juniors and Seniors are looking forward to a fun-filled and safe evening and hope to see you all at walk-in!
Parents of Junior Class
Notes and recipes were sent home with the junior class members last week for the menu items that junior parents are preparing or donating for the prom banquet. We ask that all items be brought to the lunch room at school on the morning of prom (Saturday, April 30th) between the time of 9:00–10:00 AM. This is the only time that there will be someone in the kitchen so your promptness is appreciated. Thank you for your support! Please contact Mrs. Druivenga or Ms. Warner with any questions.
Prom Servers
Sophomore and freshmen prom servers are asked to report to the lunch room on Saturday, April 30th at 5:30 PM. Please remember to wear a white button-down shirt, black pants and comfortable shoes. Please contact Mrs. Druivenga or Ms. Warner with any questions. Thank you in advance for your help with the prom meal!
Elementary Plant Sale
Spring is Here!! The Elementary Plant Sale will be Tuesday, April 26th, starting at noon until Friday, April 29th. We will have hanging baskets, potted plants, as well as smaller 4 inch plants. Please stop by the elementary concourse anytime between 7:45 AM-3:45 PM to shop! These make great Mother's Day gifts!

Alex Becthold broke Lucas Oster's shot put record of 48' 4" set in 2010, with a throw of 50' 10". Junior High Boys Track
The junior high boys track team finished last week in a 3rd place finish behind Fremont-Mills by only 4 points. That was a tremendous jump in team points due to losing at our home meet to them by more than 50 points. We have had some impressive showings by the 8th grade group and the 7th grade continues to show growth. Sadly, we were cancelled this past Monday due to rain. I want to state that these gentleman have been working extremely hard in practice and continue to grow as young men. Keep it up!!
