Mr. Subbert's 6th grade science class was studying forces and motion.  As part of the unit, students were given the assignment to make a glider.  The class was divided into two person teams.  Each team was given the materials and a general plan they could use to make their gliders.  The students had a couple of days to test things like the position of the wings and tail, overall balance of their gliders, as well as weight.  Final flights were gone on Jan. 31st.  Teams were scored on distance as well as how straight their gliders flew.  The team of Brandon Huddle and Garrett Taylor finished in first place, followed by the team of Brooklyn Silva and Marrisa Strough.  All the students had a good time and hopefully all learned a little about forces and motion.
