Dr. Seuss' Birthday and STEM Activities

Today was Dr. Seuss' birthday, so in order to celebrate Stanton Middle and High school students got to celebrate in a big way!!! They spent the morning sharing a few Dr. Seuss books and tying in STEM experiments.
One station they went to was The Cat in the Hat, here they were able to do cup stacking and making cup towers.
At the Lorax they tie dyed coffee filters to look like the flowers on the Truffla Trees.
The Butter Battle Book, you guessed it.... they made butter and tasted it!
Bartholomew and the Oobleck, the teachers made Oobleck on Wednesday and today the students got to decide if certain items such as paper clips, pennies, dice, marbles or toothpicks would sink or not in the Oobleck!!!! What are your thoughts???
And let's not forget The Foot Book, here the groups had to figure the perimeter of the gym.
Make sure that you are you kids what their favorite book and activity was!
