Daily Bulletin

Change to Prom Walk-In

Due to the forecasted chilly and wet weather, plans have been adjusted for the 2016 Prom Walk-In. Walk-in will be held at the Viking Center and will commence at 6:30 PM. Prom-goers are asked to proceed down the drive between the high school and Viking Center to the canopy where they will park their vehicle and escort their date into the back northeast exit door of the Viking Center. Valets will meet the students to escort them with umbrellas if needed. Parents and other spectators are asked to be seated in the bleacher area of the Viking Center to watch the grand entrance of the couples.  No spectators will be allowed on the walking track of the Viking Center.  After the last couple has been introduced, parents are welcome to take pictures in the Viking Center gym. Only students will use the back northeast exit of the Viking Center–all spectators/parents must use the north entrance door near the gym. After pictures are complete, the students will proceed to the high school gym for their prom meal and dance. All other activities for the evening will remain the same–this is the only change for the evening due to the weather.

After Prom:

The Stanton After Prom Committee is working on planning a safe and fun evening for all the prom goers on Saturday, April 30th.  The entertainment provided for the students that evening are funded by donations the committee receives from donors.  If you or your business would like to make a donation to the after prom activities the Stanton After Prom Committee as well as the students would greatly appreciate it.  Please contact Wendy Confer at (712)621-2816 or Dawn Weis at (712)370-8880 if you would like to make a donation or have any questions.

Stanton After Prom:

Attention all Junior and Senior Parents.  A letter stating the rules for the After Prom Party have been given to your son or daughter.  So, please inquire your child about the letter so that you will be familiar with rules for the evening of April 30th.  One of the major changes is the ending time of the after prom activities.   We will be concluding the evening between 3:00 and 3:30 a.m. this year.  So, if you child leaves prior to 3:00 a.m. you will be contacted.  If you have any questions or need another copy of the letter please contact Dawn Weis (712-370-8880) or Wendy Confer (712-621-2816).
