A word from our leader, head coach Steve Bruning:

On December 28, the 2006 - 2007 Boys’ Basketball Team conducted a very successful food drive to aid in replenishing local food pantries.  This was the 2nd annual good will project in what we hope will be an ongoing event for our young men.  Last season’s inaugural Coat Drive resulted in over 350 coats being delivered to the Open Door Mission in Omaha.

Coach Grebin and I believe strongly that it is first our responsibility to be sure that our team members define ‘Vikes’ through their basketball experience; developing qualities such as work ethic, character, responsibility, sportsmanship and teamwork.

Secondly, we desire for these young men to take themselves beyond the gym ‘For Life’.  We love winning games......everybody does.  But more importantly, let’s build men that are winners out there where it counts, despite what the scoreboard might say. Give ‘em a hand or a thumbs up. They’re working hard at it!
