This page is about the 2009 Fall ITEC Conference.

Following the technology fair earlier in the year was the 2009 Fall ITEC Conference on October 12-13, 2009. Those who had received the blue and purple ribbons were invited so our group was much smaller. Here is our group: Mr. Grebin, Taylor Fiscus, and Matt Osher. The conference was being held at Coralville in the Coralville Marriott. We still had to leave early so we left at 5:00 A.M. again... there was plenty of roadkill. After we found a parking spot, we headed into the hotel.

These pictures should give a good impression of the size of the place.

Again, note the laptop on  the left.

Find the laptop in this picture. [Answer: There isn't one.]

After listening to the speaker, David Warlick, we moved on to our presentation.

After some impressive presentations that preceded us, I explained the concept of our PowerPoint Game...

...as Matt Osher ran the mouse.

This is the final boss of the game... it takes either immense skill or cheating to reach it.

A picture of Matt and I after our presentation.

I hope that we were able to get the idea across to the audience... but the laptop we ran our presentation on could not handle the sheer awesomeness that was our PowerPoint Game (Should be read as: We had huge amounts of lag.). Fortunately, there weren't awards to be given out here. After the presentation it was about lunch time so we ate at the hotel restaurant.

Did you notice the extra "e" on grill? That's pretty fancy.

We were so hungry, we zoomed WAY in to get this shot of one of the burgers there... Unfortunately, this one wasn't one of our orders.

After eating some great food, we were on our way back to Stanton. We made it back much earlier than we had expected which was about 6:30 P.M.. The whole thing was a blast, we did something we enjoyed and got out of school for it.
